PRECY DAWSON

Was this Precy Dawson an Englishman? No sign of being capped for Scotland despite the record transfer and scoring record refelcting his undoubted ability.

ARCHIVE FOOTBALL PHOTOS

I'm trying in vain to find somewhere on the web where I can buy archive press photos of former players, in particular Walter Smith and Alfie Conn.
Any ideas anyone?

GEORGE KINNELL OF STOKE CITY

Anyone know details of George Kinnell's career? He doesn't seem to have played for Scotland but did represent the Rest of The World in a match for Stanley Matthews. That must say something about his stature which makes the absence of any caps for Scotland a bit odd.

Cork City

I'm trying to find out if a player called Robert (Bobby) Boyce ever turned out for Cork City..........probably in the sixties or seventies if at all.

BILL BAXTER of IPSWICH & HULL

Does anyone know where the diminutive Scots centre-half Bill Baxter was born and how his career got started before he went on to became a club legend at Ipswich? A punch up with Bobby Robson appears top have ended 13 glorious years at Portman Road and he ended up at Hull I understand.

BAYERN V RAITH ROVERS

No reason why anyone would know this, but I'll try... Any idea how big the travelling Rovers support was that went over to Munich for the UEFA Cup second leg in 1995? And, when did the Stark's Park redevelopment begin? It must have been around this time....and badly needed.

RAITH ROVERS WINNING DIVISION 1

I'm trying (and failing) to find the week by week results and league positions when Raith pipped Dunfermline and Dundee by a point to clinch the 94-95 Division one title. Any ideas?

I had a feeling the quote was an old one, if it was in fact a quote. Perhaps commentators since the have used it tongue in cheek.

But if there's no such place as Raith, where did the name Raith Rovers come from then?

Dancing in the Streets of Raith

The famous quote "They'll be dancing in the streets of Raith" is sometimes attributed to David Coleman. But did anyone every really say it, and why?

My recollection of Fyfe was a decent goalscorer who rarely go a chance. His crime was more to do with how he married than not putting away chances. Thankfully, that nonsense at least is a thing of the past.
