Re: Consecutive Goalscoring Feats

Looking at the Fitba Stats site http://www.fitbastats.com/celtic/player_games.php?playerid=2438&page=3 It lists James McGrory as scoring in 14 consecutive league games, from the start of the 1935/1936 season. It looks as though he missed the 9th, 10th & 11th games of the season through injury (most ...

Footage of Jimmy McGrory

I've hunted high and low myself for footage of Jimmy McGrory, but sadly have never came up with anything, think the closest I've come is some footage of the 1937 Scottish Cup Final, which sadly lacks much if any of the great man. Was just wondering if anybody anywhere, had any footage or could point...

1980 SCF Rangers Substitute Numbers

Someone I know bought a 1980 Rangers Scottish Cup Final Shirt at an auction with the No.16 on the back and was trying to figure out who's shirt it was. I'd logically assumed that (in those days) the starting 11 would be 1-11, so it would have to have been a sub. I'd also crossed my mind that the sub...

Thanks for the reply. Aye, I wasn't questioning the reliability of the data at RSSSF, I'd pretty much accepted most of those figures. The problems I forsee with using those lists to try and get a definitive total is that, the pre 1939 only has a Top 14 (200 or more goals), so all the players who hav...

Top Division Goal Scorers

I've been trying to find a definitive list of Top Division goal scorers from 1891-to date (well also a list that includes pre league formation, Scottish Cup goals if a player overlaps, both periods) and also Top Division goal scorers in all competitions, with games played for both lists. Been on RSS...

It's no longer goal average, it's goal difference, i take it this is what you meant.

If goal difference is level, it is then goals scored that is looked at.

Here is a list (to the best of my knowledge) of every Scottish team that played in the FA Cup. I've not included the games you had already in the 2nd post. FA Cup 1871 - 1872 First Round Proper (11/11/71) Queen's Park   -   Donnington School Both teams went to next round Second Round Proper (16/12/7...
