Re: Ghost Leagues

Many thanks for the info, much appreciated

Pretty much confirms what I had managed to uncover, although I can add a couple of Peterhead results:

02.12.1899 Fraserburgh Caledonian 3, Peterhead 1

11.09.1920 Peterhead 5, Montrose 2

Ghost Leagues

I wondered whether any-one had any details on the following two leagues which do not seem to have reached their conclusion: Aberdeenshire League 1899-00 (Aberdeen A, Orion A, Melrose, Peterhead, Fraserburgh Caledonian) I have only been able to find a handful of results and nothing after Jan 1900 Eas...

Re: Scottish club record for consecutive appearances?

I was never very good at sums
league games should have read 208 not 272, to give a total of 272 in all competitions

Re: Scottish club record for consecutive appearances?

I think Ally Shewan probably holds the Aberdeen record, but falls short of Johnny Jackson by some way

272 League
22 Scottish Cup
34 League Cup
8 Euro ties
272 total (04.04.1964 to 23.04.1969).

Re: Willie Miller

From Willie Miller's autobiography "The Miller's Tale", it does not look like Miller and Buchan ever played in the same side. Miller made a couple of substitute appearances for Aberdeen reserves at the start of 71-72 (pre-season friendly v. Keith and Reserve League Cup tie v. Clyde) before joining P...
