Old Firm Crowd Segregation

Does anybody know how early on in their 122 year history crowd segregation kicked in.

Can understand the stadium end nearest to the city center being the attraction for the bulk of the home support.

Who decided which supporters would take up each end at Hampden.

When did it begin?

Thought the dates were slightly earlier than that.
Early to mid 90s.
During the New Year break period.
Rangers allowed in season ticket holders free and at least on a couple of occasions crowds of 20000+ turned up.

If my memory serves me right i believe there was a very bad winter in 1978/9, winter of discontent and all that.
Three games plus extra time to settle the Scottish Cup Final pushed the Hibs v Rangers league game to the forgotten zone.

Except by geeks like me of course.

Did Celtic not win the 1974 championship at Falkirk? Going by the criteria we've been using here (not counting goal difference/average unless it's the end of the season), then no. They 'won' it at Morton a couple of days after the Falkirk game. Confused, Celtic played monday and tuesday after drawi...

Celtic,s Record Attendance of 92,000 1st January 1938

Having known someone who attended this match, my late father, i often wondered if this crowd attendance figure was accurate. Would i be wrong in saying that certain unofficial Celtic publications have questioned this figure even going so far as to show photographic evidence from the time period ie n...

Wasn,t there a Hibs v Rangers league match played at Easter Rd around the time of the 1979 Scottish Cup Final two replay,s that attracted a crowd of less than 3000.
I believe it was both teams last league game of that season.

Hello everyone.

Would i be correct in saying the pre 1929 grandstand at Ibrox was moved locked stock and barrel to Rugby Park, Kilmarnock.

Or is that just an urban myth i,ve picked up.
