Haven't got the details to hand, but I remember reading about a floodlit match at Parkhead circa 1890 (Clyde were possibly the visitors?). Apparently the lights were strung across the pitch and got in the way every time someone attempted a big punt down the park....

The Scottish League's centenary video had clips of Dundee v Raith Rovers in about 1908 which it said was the earliest known footage of a Scottish club match.

I presume the answer would be Reggie Smith, manager of Falkirk when they beat Kilmarnock in the 1957 final. He was a former England international although he was actually born in South Africa - I believe his father represented South Africa at rugby.
