Re: Introductions?

Stephen Mill Have been researching all things East Fife related for around 35 years, appearances, scorers, attendances, details of signed players etc. I also write for the matchday programme, dabble in a bit of commentary and assist the club with social media. I'm interested in Scottish football in ...

Information Sharing

Are there any other anoraks sitting on a wealth of information that they would be willing to exchange with fellow enthusiasts? I have East Fife results, line-ups, scorers, attendances from 1921-22, largely complete with a few gaps in attendances and times of goals. 1903 to 1920-21 is a work in progr...

Re: Researchers Required!

Some great advice in this thread for seasoned anoraks like myself.
I've been kicking myself recently for not making note of my sources but after 35 years of researching East Fife stats I don't fancy starting all over again...

Re: Researchers Required!

I have East Fife line ups, goalscorers and some attendances from 1921 to 1924 that I would be happy to share. I am assuming you are interested in Scottish League stats as opposed to "non-league"?

Re: Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

If I'd read the Evening Times match report properly it would have saved a trip to the library. Harry was a late call off as a victim of the influenza bug that was sweeping the country, causing several games to be postponed. Shame about Brechin City losing the semi final. They would surely have made ...

Re: Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

Trying to find out why Harry missed the League Cup semi final for Brechin City v Rangers on 28th September 1957? He played in the quarter final 2nd leg v Hamilton Accies a fortnight earlier and also the following Saturday v Montrose. I can't think of anyone to ask. The Glasgow Herald and Evening Tim...

Re: Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

Many thanks for posting this Rob. I will arrange for an obituary in the East Fife matchday programme. Do you have a confirmed date of death?
Henry joined East Fife in August 1949 and made three first team appearances before receiving a free transfer in May 1957...

Re: England v Scotland junior internationals at the Hawthorn

Thanks for that! My Great uncle Joseph Fitzpatrick (b.1897 d.1914) from Dundee reputedly was a junior internationalist. This confirms that he wasn't. I suspect he represented Scotland as a juvenile in some capacity. Joseph was the brother of Thomas Fitzpatrick (East Fife and Cowdenbeath), John Fitz...

Re: England v Scotland junior internationals at the Hawthorn

Interesting stuff. Is there a comprehensive list of Scottish Junior international games with line-ups anywhere?

Re: Programme Collectors...

Many thanks for the above replies. I have now been able to cross off quite a few from my programmes needed list. More definitive dates relating to which seasons exactly did clubs not issue (eg Arbroath, Alloa Athletic and Berwick Rangers) also any information relating to Raith Rovers and Third Lanar...

Programme Collectors...

Can anyone advise from which season did different clubs start issuing programmes, and were there any years that they stopped producing. I know East Fife started in 1947-48 and have continued to the present day but other clubs appear to have stopped and started, for example Berwick Rangers and Alloa ...
