Thanks for that guys.

I'm looking at plugging a few gaps on goals scored by Henrik Larsson in his early Swedish Career and in some games for Feyenoord

Swedish & Dutch Football

Does anybody know if there are Swedish and Dutch books that are the equivalent of the Rothmans Book of Football?

I'm looking for match by match results including goalscorers for specific clubs in the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s

Excellent data there

Whilst the 83,500 is recorded in some publications for the Celtic v Rangers game on 1st January 1938, I've only ever seen 60,000 recorded for the game v Rangers on 20th September 1930 although at least one Rangers record book has 70,000

Any reason for the difference?

Gorevin - Hibernian

A Charlie Gorevin (Whitefield) played for Celtic in their first ever game on 28th May 1888 and a second Friendly a couple of weeks later. However, there seems to some doubt over the Christian name of the player as a Hibernian book by Alan Lugton refers to a Harry Gorevin who played for Hibernian in ...

Thanks for the response David. This is the Sporting Life view of the goal: But Celtic made it 3-0 in the 56th minute when O'Donnell swung in a cross from the left and Henrik Larsson got in a downward header at the far post which seemed destined for the net. Irvine did well to hook the ball off the l...

Sorry, my mistake. Larsson has 157 SPL goals & Boyd 164. Larsson scored 173 league goals for Celtic. He has been attributed by many sources with a goal which was actually quite a blatant OG. Forrest Robertson has posted the details here before but I can't remember when . Similarly, while Boyd's tal...

Boyd holds a very specific record in that it only takes account of SPL goals which means Larsson's goals in his first season 1997/98 are not counted as the SPL did not start until 1998/99. If Boyd signs another contract at Rangers then over time he would surpass Larsson's league goals record. Howeve...

At this time the option only applies to Celtic as Rangers don't seem to have a reserve team. Whilst Celtic have continued with their reserve team they are like nomads playing friendly matches against in the main English opposition. For me, reserve football is necessary and I have made a suggestion o...

The match report in the Dundee Courier for the Dundee v Kaffirs game is from a different age.

I have a note of the Kaffirs team for the match v Celtic but for some reason not the Celtic team :(

If you have it please pass it on.

That's like getting a Xmas present at Easter. Thanks. BTW if you click on the individual pages then again when on the page it is perfectly readable. Just can't figure out a way to save. Yes thanks. It still can be a wee bit hard to read even when zoomed in. I have also noticed that even though it s...

Queen of the South v Celtic - 12th August 1933

I realise this was a very famous victory for the home side and I'm looking for advice on which newspaper would have had the best match report. Last month, I was at a football team reunion here in Lancashire and one of the lads mentioned that his father (John Bell) played and scored 2 goals in this m...
