Re: Scottish Alliance

I don't know about Scotland, but in the Netherlands results were sometimes changed after the match was played, because of an official protest of one the clubs.

Re: Match suspended.....overnight?

Re: Queen's Park in Copenhagen 1898

For your information I'm not someone who believes everything the papers, books or even football historians say. That's why I used the word probably, I've never studied this in detail. 75 years later this report says the match was played on 13 March 1893 and it finished 8-0.... http://kranten.kb.nl/v...

Re: Queen's Park in Copenhagen 1898

That would mean this report is not entirely accurate http://kranten.kb.nl/view/article/id/ddd%3A010091733%3Ampeg21%3Ap022%3Aa0204 (3 weeks ago for the first time an English club visited our country to play a football game) The 14 March 1893 match finished 8-1 for H&P http://kranten.kb.nl/view/articl...

Re: Queen's Park in Copenhagen 1898

The first club from the UK to play in the Netherlands was probably Harwich & Parkeston (14 March 1893) when they played against Sparta in Rotterdam. 3 weeks after that Sparta was the first Dutch club in the UK, again vs. Harwich.

Date is wrong, it was a midweek floodlit game, don't know the exact date.
Played 10 March 1954 Derby won 3-1
