Re: TOP TIER LOWS

I'm talking about the top tier lows list, not averages. Of course the USA are nowhere near the top of the average list.

Re: TOP TIER LOWS

I expect the USA to rise significantly this year now that Chivas USA are no longer in the league. Lowest so far is 10,0035 for Montreal. Either Montreal or Columbus may drop below 8,000 if they continue their poor form, but with traditionally badly-attended DC United topping the league they should s...

Re: Looking for Missing Results!

Samuel Pepys wrote his diary every day until his eyesight gave out. The former contributed to the latter, I'd say :D

Re: ESTONIA

Was reading about a team who lost 36-0 to top flight Infonet Tallinn in the Cup the other week. Meet Virtsu Jalgpalliklubi of the Rahvaliiga (translates as the Peoples' League or Public League... Public House league would be just as appropriate): http://virtsujalgpalliklubi.com/ Apparently they're c...

Re: Introductions?

My name's Ewan. I live in Texas but I'm a Greenockian born and bred (and an ardent Morton supporter.) I'm 32 years old. I'm starting a research project on Scots who have played abroad over the years. Obviously an easy task if you focus on the present day, but the number of Scots who played in the Un...

Re: Predictions for Season 2015/16

In the lower leagues in particular it seems very early to start making predictions. Most teams don't have their squads together yet.

I'm hedging my bets until the day before the European qualifiers start :D

Re: Scottish Cup 2015-16

Fair enough. Restricting it to registered grounds makes sense for licensing reasons I suppose, but at the same time there's got to be a sanity check there (hypothetically, Hearts couldn't play at Murrayfield if something happened to Tynecastle.) And like you say, Junior clubs must get their grounds ...

Re: Scottish Cup 2015-16

Surely Duncansfield in Kilsyth is sufficient for the First Round, rather than having (potentially) three clubs using Broadwood (which would be far, far too big and ornate for a Harestanes game)? If Yarrow Park's good enough for the First Round so's what's left of Duncansfield.

Re: Greed is God

We're three years on from this thread and with Rangers gone, the voting structure changed and (perhaps most importantly) prize money distributed a bit more equitably, I'm curious to see any major differences in crowds from 2011-12 to 2014-15. Certainly I think the last three years have been good for...

Re: LEVEL FIVE ATTENDANCES

Excellent thread. Brazil has a four-level national structure with state leagues running parallel, usually at a different time of year. Some of these state leagues are pretty strong, most notably the Paulista, Carioca, Gaucho and Mineiro top flights (in (debatable) descending order of quality.) Other...
