Yea, I remember that proposed amalgamation, IIRC there was opposition from both sets of fans especially the Clyde contingent. Thanks for quick reply.

On this date, my records show that only 8 Scottish 2nd Division games were played. The missing teams are Arbroath, Hamilton & Raith Rovers, obviously in a 19 team league one of these teams had a free Saturday.
