I'm still waiting to actually SEE or HEAR the draw and we were bloody in it. When exactly did they show it? By the time I came inside from the result against Dundee (and I'm talking ten minutes here) it was done and dusted. I know the directors in the directors box never saw it either and they went...

I'm no Vlad fan, but sometimes journalists just annoy me. Are they really suggesting that a football club with assets of at least £20m and a turnover of somewhere around £10m would get wound up over a pettion for £13.5k. Reguardless of what the liabilites to Ukio and Ubig are thats just ignorant or ...

I've got it into my head that if a team finnished bottom of the 3rd 3 years on the bounce from 06 then they had to submit for re-election ala the old days. In Fort Williams defence, its not like there are a huge amount of clubs falling over themselves to replace them in the HL, if there were the lea...

I think if Mileson fell in love with the town club then there is a point investing in the team. After all who are we to tell him what to do with his money. However- I did assume the idea would be to get Gretna up the leagues for a year or to in the sun and sort out the infastructure so they could li...

Queens Park- Men with Educated Feet

In the results for the mid-70's a number of home games have (NLH) after the team being played. I might be being a bit slow but I can't find a key to tell me what this means, was hoping someone on here could tell me.

Cheers

I'm sure I read somewhere that Queens actually beat Oxford in the 1873 semi but couldn't afford the trip to London for the final. Perhaps Forrest can enlighten me! Actually I'm pretty sure the article I read said that Queens had decided not to go to the final one year. Or maybe it was just a semi. ...

Scottish teams in the FA Cup

I was reading about Queens Park almost winning the FA Cup and it got me wondering about how many scottish teams entered and how they did. Why did this practice stopped (SFA no doubt)

Not sure if this is any help or not but I'm sure there is a reference to I Zingari playing St.Johnstone twice in the late 1880's/early 1890's in their history. Its probably in the stats section of that book. Maybe they did a tour of Tayside?

I've not got that book just now though so can't check.

However, it's an absolute given that without Mileson there's no Gretna, certainly not at any level above division three. Of course the survival of the club is at stake. If he hasn't put in sufficient advance funds to tide them over when he's taken ill for a week or two (and let's face it it was har...

I was sure that the play-off betweem 9th in top flight and 2nd in 1st division was dropped when all the premier division teams resigned to form the SPL. ie it didn't matter who finnished 2nd they wouldn't ave got a play-off in 98 or afterwards. As a back up to my (probably failing memory) Dundee wer...

From memory, the year that Hearts nearly won the league in 97/98 when Jeffries was in charge: Hearts took 2 points out of 24 v the old firm. I think it's something like if they had managed to win a game each against Rangers and Celtic they would have won the league. That could be urban myth of cour...

Tennents Sixes

Been watching some of the games from '93 on you tube. I'd love it if this competition came back, would be good in a winter break in January. Was wondering if anyone on here knew any of the results of the matches in the 6's, looked on wikipedia but can only find the winners and some of the final resu...

I'm not sure that a season ticket culture really explains such a dreadfully low turnout. For Dundee United and St. Mirren surely a cup run represents one of their highlights of the season - now that Gretna have all but sewn up relegation. The fact is that these days the cup isn't rated as highly by...
