Its a long shot but I wondered if anyone had anything on a game that took place on February 4th 1961. It was a Scottish junior cup 4th round tie between Arthurlie and Ashfield at Barrhead. Basically Ashfield were awarded a "dodgy" penalty which they missed, Arthurlie went up the park into their box ...

Thanks for all your efforts but.................. even when you put it on the page I see 6 but just a red cross for page 7............... I just think its not meant to be!

I get page 6 fine but when I go to page 7 it shows a box with a red cross and a list of numbers which I assume is the title-date of page 7.

Fantastic indeed although............ I have never seen Arthurlie reports pre 1930 and found the report from the Scottish cup win over Celtic Sat 09 Jan 1897 but the last page link is inactive! :cry: I must say though its a fantastic effort all round! Excuse my ignorance once again. On a few of these reports they mention disputed goals" firts off I thought that those were dissallowed ones but then I read a report where a team one 2-1 say and MrX scored one while the other was a disputed effort. Does this mean that it was either an OG or that they...

Ah for once I tried to show that I was researching and yet again I was found out. I have him scoring in 28 and not in 19 and correct that does make 47! R McPherson Arthurlie

There was an R McPherson who played for Arthurlie and scored against England in 1882, can anyone confirm that his name was Robert which I believe it was and also has anyone got any other information on him?

Does anyone have any information on Ian Young who played for Celtic in the 60's and then went on to St Mirren?
