Re: Well Done Killie!

Paul Heffernan is the second player who has played for the mighty Bristol Rovers and has also won a League Cup winner's medal north of the border, after Mark Walters. Walters, Fraser Forster, Andy Dorman and our current manager Mark McGhee were all losing finalists. Just in case anyone really wanted...

Frank Townrow

Very grateful for any help in researching the career of Frank Townrow (born 27 Nov 1902, died 10 Aug 1958). In particular, I am looking for details of his time at Dundee, 1926-30, games and goals in the Scottish league. I know he scored on the opening day of the 1929-30 season in a 2-0 home win over...

Bill Murray

Bill Murray played in one Scottish League game for Clydebank in Feb/March 1926, his only appearance for the club. Does anyone know if this was the 2-0 defeat at Raith on 27th Feb? Many thanks.

Does anyone on here have line-ups for East Stirling for any years prior to 1939?

High aggregate scores

Somewhere in an attic back in the UK I have a wonderful book with a short list of the highest aggregate scores in Scottish League history. If anyone here has enough time, please could you be kind enough to give me dates and results of the highest few (if you are kind enough to reply, you can decide ...

Re: Scottish Rovers

Many thanks for your help. I have a further query, though, about another player. Fleming Falconer was apparently with Bo'ness from Sept 1926 to March 1928, when he moved south of the border, but I have no information about his time there - does anyone know if he made the first team at Bo'ness? Flem...

Re: Scottish Rovers

Thanks again for your help. Sorry, everyone, but I am full of questions ... Three for now: 1. John Muir was with Falkirk, 1928-1930, and apparently played in 94 Scottish League games, scoring once; does anyone know which game the goal came in? 2. David Bruce was with East Fife, 1930-31 and apparentl...

Re: Scottish Rovers

Many thanks. If anyone out there has appearances and goals for Bo'ness during their Scottish League years, I am interested to hear from you ... Another player - George Reay joined Raith from Kettering in Dec 1925 and appears to have made his debut for them against Partick Thistle that month. Does an...

Re: Scottish Rovers

I mentioned Andrew Dick on this thread earlier. After leaving Bristol Rovers in May 1927, he was apparently with Motherwell, then Ayr Utd, then back for a second spell at Aberdeen. I don't have any dates for those moves at all. Does anyone know any dates or have any information on games and goals po...

Thank you. I didn't know about East Fife - did he play any League matches there?
