I know it's not entirely relevent to the lower leagues, but do you think that the league cup has never really recovered from it's European place being taken away?

Hibs v Ayr United 2002, at Hampden, what was the crowd something like 10k? What is the point?

I believe they did: in a friendly at the bernabeu around 1970. My hazy memory thinks that Real might have won 3-1. Unlike when they played Hibs and lost 2-0.

My memory is appalling, but ISTR that before the Albion Rovers Partick Thistle game, Albion boss Tommy Gemmell was tipping Albion to cause an upset that night.

Thus Stephen Glass comes out as best Scottish midfielder (6th overall). He's six places higher than Paul Hartley who scored 11 goals last season. Glass scored just two.
That sounds about right to me.
