John Cameron

Did John Cameron play for Hibernian in 1891/92 season? He is in line-ups for Stoke from 26/9 to 28/11-1891. Seasons 1891/92 and 1892/93 are missing on Fittoastats. com . Did Hibernian play league football 1891-93?

Thank you!! It is not easy with similar names and also newspapers at that time who mostly reported only last names.

Re: Hugh and James Henderson

I am confused about his posision. For Liverpool he was a center forward. He was also center forward in his 3 games for Partick Thistle. Was he left half for Annbank?

Re: Bob Ireland

Thank you both. The source for Ireland & Brechin is "Football League Players` Records 1888-1939" by Michael Joyce. Ireland`s posision was right half. He would have been 41, if he played for St Bernards in 1942. The last time I have seen him playing, in newspaper reports, is September 1936 for St Joh...

Bob Ireland

Bob Ireland played for Rangers, Liverpool and St Johnstone.
Dundee Courier wrote 1/5-1934: Bob Ireland, who has a free transfer from St Johnstone, is going to St Bernards.
But did he sign and did he play for them?
And was he on loan from St Johnstone to Brechin in 1933?

Hugh and James Henderson

Liverpool signed James Henderson from Annbank in September 1893. After 1 game he returned to Annbank. Is it correct that he later played for Fairfield, Broxburn Athletic, Edinburgh Thistle and Partick Thistle (3 games in 1900/01.)? Did Hugh Henderson play for other clubs than Third Lanark (1892-94),...

David Henderson

He was 25 years old when he signed for Callander Rob & Roy in August 1894 from Liverpool. How long did he stay? I think he was there 1896/97. Which league did they play in?

Re: Harry Griffiths for Partick Thistle

Thank you very much!! We have his birth and death certificates. I think it is possible that he was signed from Brades Park. Newspapers said Wednesbury.
He was born and lived in Wednesbury. Sometimes newspapers at that time refered to places and not clubs.

Re: Harry Griffiths for Partick Thistle

Thank you!! I can`t find him playing for Wednesbury after Partick Thistle in BNA. I know he played for them in Walsall & District League in 1904/05, before he signed for Liverpool. Maybe he had an inury problem.

Harry Griffiths for Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle signed Harry Griffiths from Chesterfield in June 1909. (He played for Liverpool 1905-08.) He probably left them in January 1910. He never played for firstteam. Did he play for reserveteam? Did he play for other clubs in Scotland? I have found him in census 1911 living in Wednesbury, ...
