He signed for Liverpool from Inverness Thistle in February 1983. Reported as a very big talent. He signed for Dundee 1 year later. He only played 3 reserve games for Liverpool. No games for Dundee. What happend?

Scottish League must have been "younger" than english. The youngest Liverpool debutant before WW2 was 18 years 189 days and scottish!!

I have read in a Liverpool FC programme that he had 1 season with Motherwell Hearts before 2 seasons with Ashfield.

He played for Motherwell (1906-08), Airdrie (1908-09), Liverpool (1909-12) and Aberdeen (1912/13).
Can he have been born 9th December 1890 in Cambusnethan, Lanarks, as many sources have?
He played 6 games for Motherwell in 1906/07.

I belive you are correct about Linthouse, Rangers, Liverpool and Linthouse information. But I am not sure about the rest.
I think it was maybe Tony Matthews who had the other information first in a who`s who book about LFC. I have seen a lot of errors in that book.

Thank you. His name was David A?. Wilson. And he signed for Liverpool in May 1899. And played 2 matches in 1899/1900. He probably went to Airdrie 1900 and later Hamilton Academicals and Albion Rovers. I had a look for him in ScotlandPeoples, births in West Lothian 1875-1885. And found 6 alternativs:...
