For some reason, Chris Robertson is called Sandy Jardine in the 1974-75 team photo. I assume it was because Sandy Jardine was still on holiday after the World Cup, although I dob't know why they didn't just insert a photo of him underneath.

Not only did Rangers play a Russian team in the CWC Final in 1972, they also played a French team [Rennes], a Portuguese team [Sporting] a team each from Italy and Germany [Torino and Bayern respectively] plus they played in Barcelona.

I was at this game. Rangers hit Hearts with everything, but lost as a direct result of this incident, which ultimately lost Rangers the title. This was Rangers' last defeat of the season and they only dropped 2 points from then.
According to their official history 'Rags to Riches', they actually used 20 players in the 1982-83 season. Funnily enough, I believed it was either 14 or 15. By the way, does anyone know the most and least number of players used by any cub in a season in Scotland?
