The Celtic V Kilmarnock game as you say had an evening kick off, but the Queens Park V Stranraer game has a limited match report in the Evening Times sports edition so it must have been an earlier kick off than an evening one. My friend and I both playing juvenile football at the time, went to the n...
The Old Firm played a league fixtures noon September 1972 at Hampden as there was a fault in Celtics new 1year old stand that engineers were fixing and an hour after the game finished Queens Park played their 2nd division fixture. I can't remember who against. I raised this question a few years ago ...
Many thanks to Sureitza & BMMcColl , I fully understand the pressure of time with family, work & hobbies in that order for my own records I started 1959/60 season months ago and I've only got to October now.
I was trying to find the results of the Reserve League Cup from 22nd of August 1959. The Scottish Football Historical archives used to have the results but somehow I cant find them anymore. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction?
So if Tony Adams holds the record at 59, Dalglish's record of 21 is a fairly healthy return for a non Englishman. Taking that Spurs go back to WHL next season it looks like Dalglish's record is safe for now. I wonder what Scot & non Scot holds the Hampden appearance record. Queens Park players exclu...
I remember reading a few years ago that Kenny Dalglish had the most appearances at Wembley for a non Englishman. With Spurs playing their home games there this season , will or has that record been broken.

I'm at work at the moment , but off the top of my head I have a Hibs programme against Nimegen from around that time and IIRC it gives you the line ups for the short tour they made of the North of England late that season. Will get back later.

Snippet in the Evening Times 7/10/1972 states that the old firm have 5 players in a strong 15 man pool to play Clyde at Shawfield on Monday . Players mentioned were Donaldson , McDougall & McNicholl of Rangers and McLaughlan & McDonald of Celtic. Also I have a hunch that Jim Stewart of Kilmarnock co...
I think the Hibs winger for the U23s was Johnny McLeod who was later transfered to Arsenal and played in the ill fated 9-3game. I'm not near any reference at the moment and writing this on my phone, but I think Ally was still at Blackburn and would have been over 23.
