Re: Clyde squad numbers 1966/67

So my hunch could be right they did play with squad numbers apart from the goalkeepers , which would have been a first for Scotland and possibly Britain.

Re: Jimmy McGill

Coming from Milton myself, there was an error in saying Scaraway Street was in Partick in fact it is in Milton and Jimmy did live there .There were no single ends in Milton as it was a post war edge of the city housing estate as Drumchapel & Easterhouse was. I don't know if the author was getting mi...

Victory Shield

I see England are not going to compete anymore in the Victory Shield as they think it has outlived its usefulness as preparation for under 16 English footballers. So sad . I just wonder if there is a connection between this decision and the rest not backing the EFA wanting to compete at the Rio Olym...

Re: Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

According to the death notice, Harry passed away suddenly at home on the 14th April and it looks like he had 3 daughters and a son . I only knew his son Gary .

Re: Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

Will dig out last Friday's newspaper and have a look in the Death notices, I havn't seen his son Gary for a couple of years now, but he won't be to hard to track down through the football community here in Christchurch, if its possible when you publish the news in the programme, would it be possible...

Harry Frame, East Fife & Brechin City

Just learned yesterday of the death here in Christchurch NZ, of the death of former East Fife & Brechin City player Henry (Harry ) Frame at the age of 82. Although only making a handful of first team appearences at Methil after joining from Bayview YC he spent four or five years as a second X1 regul...

Coronation Cup

Can anyone tell me how they picked the teams for this tournament. I always thought it was the top four in each country but I see the finishing positions were Rangers 1st, Hibernian 2nd , Celtic 7th , Aberdeen 11th , Arsenal 1st , Manchester United 8th , Tottenham 10th & Newcastle Utd 16th.

Re: Football clubs and politics

I noticed today, watching the St Mirren v Celtic game , the trackside hoardings had SNP advertising, but that could be a purely commercial decision by St Mirren to have it there.

Re: Twenty Years ago today

I always thought Tommy an underated player , although probably not by Celtic fans, I thought he tended to be overshadowed by Paul McStay .
