Thinking about it i would have found that score in the Scottish Qualifying Cup book 1895 to 1995, every chance that may have be corrected.

Thanks for that, i get most of my details from local papers, but always double check them with the Breedon book of Scottish records, seems there are many mistakes in it, is there any other books that cover all Scottish cup results ?

Yet another Question ( SQC)

In the 1896-97 Scottish Qualifying Cup it seems as if Linlithgow Athletic must have called it a day in between the 1st & 2nd rounds, a bit strange considering they had just defeated Airdriehill 14 - 0 in the 1st round, does anyone know what may have happened ?

Penalty Misses

Was reading up on the Stranraer v Bo'ness SQC final 1937-38 and it mentions Bo'ness missing three first half penalties, keeper saved them all, surely that must be some sort of record ?, can't recall that happening in recent times.

Remember a game Airdrie v St Mirren at Broomfield back in april 77, the game was on Sportscene that night, Archie McPherson came out with a cracker, along the lines

" Airdrie have two new players playing today, and would you believe they are both called Newman".

Thanks for reply, maybe i didn't explain myself well enough, was wondering if they continued up until the start of the war, as it seems possible that they may have packed in when they left the league then reformed again as a senior side, playing in various leagues, but at some stages just friendly m...
