With the publication of the SFL fixtures list, I reckon we have a very unique occurence.
Having met in the final Third Division round of games last season at Ochilview, East Stirlingshire and Cowdenbeath then proceeded to meet over the next ten days in two further Play-off matches. With the 2009-10 opening day of fixtures balloting them in opposition, we have surely the unique situation of two clubs meeting each other in FOUR successive league matches!
I know this includes play-off matches but they were played under the auspices of the SFL and should be considered as extensions of the league campaign IMO.

Hibs v Rangers - definitely Hibs possibly Rangers too:
12 5 1979 Scottish Cup F N Rangers D 0 0
16 5 1979 Scottish Cup F N Rangers D 0 0
28 5 1979 Scottish Cup F N Rangers L 2 3
31 5 1979 Scottish League 36 H Rangers W 2 1
Edit: And the teams also met first game of the following season in the league but Hibs had played in the Anglo-Scottish Cup prior to that.
Interesting run from 1921:
22 1 1921 Scottish Cup 1 A Third Lanark D 1 1
26 1 1921 Scottish Cup 1 H Third Lanark D 1 1
29 1 1921 Scottish League 29 A Queens Park W 2 0
1 2 1921 Scottish Cup 1 N Third Lanark W 1 0
5 2 1921 Scottish Cup 2 H Partick Thistle D 0 0
8 2 1921 Scottish Cup 2 A Partick Thistle D 0 0
12 2 1921 Scottish League 30 A Albion Rovers W 2 0
15 2 1921 Scottish Cup 2 N Partick Thistle L 0 1
19 2 1921 Scottish League 31 A Third Lanark W 2 0
And another one from 1950:
15 8 1950 League Cup A St Mirren W 6 0
19 8 1950 League Cup A Falkirk W 5 4
30 8 1950 League Cup H St Mirren W 5 0
2 9 1950 League Cup H Falkirk W 4 0
9 9 1950 Scottish League 1 H Falkirk W 6 0
16 9 1950 League Cup A Aberdeen L 1 4
20 9 1950 League Cup H Aberdeen W 4 1
23 9 1950 Scottish League 2 H Heart of Midlothian L 0 1
30 9 1950 Scottish League 3 A Aberdeen L 1 2
2 10 1950 League Cup N Aberdeen D 1 1
3 10 1950 League Cup N Aberdeen W 5 1
I'd imagine 4 league games in a row is pretty unique.
