Ambition fulfilled

If only by surrogacy. Here's a sentence I've been longing to write for more than forty years. Yesterday afternoon David Ross scored against Ayr United at Somerset Park.

Just seen this - had a similar moment when Baird of Montrose (since then Airdrie et al) did the same, but he wasn't a James (or any relevant derivative). Warm feeling nonetheless, but then any scorer against the "Honest" (WTF!) Men gives me a warm feeling!

There was a Meffen in the Stirlingshire Cup Final of 1885, playing for Campsie [I still think it's a lie as I know of few other Meffens, never mind my own Family]

but, David you might still do it for yourself! [fingers crossed]
