Hibs won at Ibrox, Parkhead and Tynecastle in a calendar year. Other than 2005, of course...

Of course I left Hearts out of that Aberdeen query

Putting Hearts in they have only beat the 'Big 4' once in a Calendar Year.

Never all in the same season

Sat 29 Jan 1983 Hibernian 1 Aberdeen 4
Sat 12 Feb 1983 Celtic 1 Aberdeen 3
Sat 09 Apr 1983 Rangers 2 Aberdeen 1
Mon 02 May 1983 Hibernian 0 Aberdeen 0
Sat 17 Sep 1983 Rangers 0 Aberdeen 2
Sat 01 Oct 1983 Heart Of Midlothian 0 Aberdeen 2
Sat 15 Oct 1983 Hibernian 2 Aberdeen 1
Sat 10 Dec 1983 Celtic 0 Aberdeen 0

When was the last time Killie beat both Edinburgh clubs inside a week? I don't know but I do know that if it happens next Monday and the following Saturday then this has the makings of a great season with both a Scottish Cup bid and a challenge for a European place through the League on offer.

On the other hand.....

........maybe you've been at the bottle.

Seriously tho' Killie have a greater battle off the pitch. Crowd numbers are not as high as they should be considering the great form that they have been in recently.

What kind of schemes are the club offering to encourage greater home supports?
Bungs, Sweetners and Christmas Presents. Who'd want to be a manager?

They've tried all sorts over the years. Kids for a quid, cheap parent and child offers, 'mini-seasons', cut prices for televised games etc. Surprisingly, given the perception about crowds at Rugby Park, gates are actually up this season. By about 700 on average. And a top six finish would ensure even more. Killie should only get two home games if they make the top six - Rangers and Hibs.

But with games against Hibs, Hearts and Celtic still to come there's no doubt that after six successive falls in attendances they'll be up at the end of the season.

It's all relative though. For the eight seasons after promotion in 1993 the average never dropped below 8,000. Even a best case scenario this year would only see gates edging towards 7,000.

But even full houses every game wouldn't begin to dent the club's debt. The main problem is finding enough to even service the debt. I'm not privy to the club's books but my back of a fag packet calculations estimate that the entire season ticket revenue is roughly the same as the interest on the debt.

Which means the club has to be run on walk-up admissions, sponsorship, TV cash and commercial activities and that's just not feasible.
