How can this farce get any worse?
From the Daily Mail website:
A senior SPL source said: 'Even if it is decided which club to invite [Dundee or Dunfermline], the rules say it's 14 days before clubs can vote on a special resolution to rubberstamp it.

'Of course all 12 clubs could agree to a short-notice meeting to push it through but that's not happened once in the 14-year history of the SPL.

'So it's entirely possible the new member would learn its fate just days before the SPL kicks off.

'Also, if oldco Rangers don't play ball and willingly agree to hand over their SPL share for transfer to the new SPL member that could complicate things further.'
John Yorkston threatening to sue already.

Sounds nonsense. Easily have an indicative vote, or everyone agree to waive 14 days. R.e. shares, surely a red herring, SPL has always had 16 share capital to accomodate an 'old Austrian system' format.

Elsewhere, more revelations, and clubs after blood.

Well, it's official then. Rangers out, Dundee in, Airdrie Utd & Stranraer up. That's all sorted then. Except for the small matters of John Yorkston threatening legal action and the Rangers newco not having an SFA licence. Twelve days to Brechin v Rangers and the start of the season. Plenty of time to sort things out.

Or Donald Trump, having arrived to negotiate with Oor Neil turning Hampden into a pitch 'n putt with executive Museum Bar, realising he's forgotten something important.

Statement from Queen’s Park President, Ross Caven
"17th July 2012
We have recently seen one of the most challenging times in Scottish Football. The General Committee of Queen’s Park FC has deliberated long and hard over the complex challenges facing the game at this time. The best interest of Queen’s Park FC and Scottish Football as a whole were always paramount in these discussions.

Queen’s Park FC waited until all the facts had been presented before coming to any conclusions. We listened to the views expressed by Queen’s Park members and supporters, the views expressed by many other supporters of Scottish Football and information received from Scottish Football’s governing bodies.

At the end there was no compromise between a financial decision for Scottish Football as a whole, and a decision based on fairness for the game. With this in mind Queen’s Park FC took the decision to uphold fairness. We wish every club in Scottish Football our best wishes for the challenging times which are no doubt ahead."

Above is today`s statement from Queen`s Park. Is that clear to everyone?

Suggests a No to SFL 1 vote to me. Only way to interpret fairness. No big rush to own up and join Hamilton @ QoS. Every suspect so far seems to have an alibi.
