A quite remarkable power of work has obviously gone into this archive.

As a comparison I have put in a ridiculous amount of research into East Fife stats and am still missing one league starting line up (1.3.1922 away to Broxburn in case anyone just happens to have it kicking around somewhere  )...

From the report I've seen, Neish was East Fife's 'keeper that day. I'm sure John could help you out with the one line-up, or failing that maybe Jim Corstorphine.

Aye, Jock Neish is the only player I have. I'm still hoping to check out the local Broxburn newspaper of the time one day. JC's line ups are incomplete as well I'm afraid...

One other option might be to try Richard McBrearty at the Hampden Museum. They have the Scottish League's press cuttings collection from all national papers going back to 1890. Team sheets were also handed in by the ref but whether they have survived this long is another matter entirely.

Are the discs available yet?
I ordered the pre-war disc nearly two weeks ago but not received it yet.

Ditto but I'd expect mine to arrive later anyway. If someone can post when they receive theirs I'll know when to keep an eye out for the post.

Mine came today too, and the bad news is some spreadsheets have extra protection to stop you selecting cells to copy and paste. Might take a while to work around that, but I completely understand why it's incorporated.

That doesn't seem to work - at least for me, as you can't select any single cell. Not to worry, I've worked around it and had a quick look at what he's done for Hibs season by season.

Simply stunned at what I'm seeing. It seems to include virtually every single goalscorer in the league for 1893-1895, and a fair few variances from my research. I need to have a look through the detailed bibliography to see where I've gone wrong

Arrived this morning. Can copy and paste no problem but can't sort data in new sheet even though no longer protected. Maybe it's something to do with Excel 2011 (was using 2004 before). Certainly the sort function looks very different.

John must trust you!

I don't use sort - I use filters, I can't remember why though?

Have you tried selecting all the text and then selecting filter from the data menu? you can copy and paste filtered data.
