Hibs Programmes website defunct?

Post by HibeeJibee » Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:18 pm

Anyone else unable to access the superb Hibs Programmes site?

http://www.hibsprogrammes.co.uk

Nothing for me. Hope to goodness it isn't another one lost to the big internet recycle bin, a few excellent one have gone over the years. It had grown to include a Hibs A-Z, and results of all Hibs matches since inception, as well as information on whether programmes were issued and a wealth of cover scans.

Archived version is available, but no images, and I've no idea if it has everything or just a selection of pages:

I was looking for that the other day too and was dismayed to find it gone. Googling doesn't seem to provide any other alternative location so we must sadly presume it is kaputt. Tragic, all those programme cover scans gone

This prompted me to take a look at some sites I hadn't visited for a while and SPECIFIC programmes sites Aberdeen, Airdrie, Hibs and Killie all appear to have gone to that great website in the sky - and I don't mean the cloud. Of course it may be that they now appear at a different url but I don't know where.

Not much and nowhere near the scale of the "defunct" site but I put a few up a few years ago. https://picasaweb.google.com/1003057303 ... ernianPics#

The webmaster was a guy called David Beattie - Bobby Sinnet has a credit for him on Fitbastats - I'll ask if Bobby has any info.

It's excellent, but as I mentioned above unfortunately it sometimes doesn't trawl the lower reaches of sites, as with the RangersHistory site where it only collected a few of the 'season-by-season' pages.

Those for Aberdeen* (which was fairly limited IIRC) and Airdrie^ are definitely deid, AFAIA. Don't readily recall the one for Killie"?

I've just had a message from Dave, and the site is down for the time being and should be back up and running next year.

Thanks, Brian. Some great stuff there even though it looks like it hasn't been updated for a while.
