Mystery Medal

Post by Angusfifer » Tue Feb 02, 2016 8:58 am

We received an enquiry at Bayview about a medal inscripted "J.B.F.C." won by a J. Meek in 1938-39.
There was a suggestion that there may be some kind of East Fife connection as there was at one time an East Fife Junior Boys Football Club in existence. They would, however, appear to have only survived until 1925-26. Johnstone Burgh would also seem unlikely, as they were formed post second world war.
Any ideas?

I've had a look, but nothing springs to mind. However, the Burgh were formed in 1956, not 1950, as stated on the East Fife page.
