Can't make the 6th - wedding season, it seems - but should be good for the 20th.

Re: NLS Visit 2016?
20th August is better suited for me now. I will get in touch with Ian Scott at NLS to confirm date. If there is anything specific anyone wants to see on the day then please post here and I will pass it on to Ian. As well as newspapers there may be an opportunity to request books that may be of interest. Can everyone confirm their availability for that date?

Only three people are definites for this event so far. Myself, Scottish FA and bluedragon. I have sent a pm to all the others that showed an interest. Can you get back to me ASAP so that I can confirm numbers with Ian Scott? Many thanks.

I'm OK.
Would be great if Ian could provide a copy of the Vale of Atholl book produced by George Campbell.

Re: NLS Visit 2016?
That would be difficult as George Campbell never produced a book on Vale of Atholl. He was still researching the club when he died.
However, the good news is that I have George's papers, including a manila folder marked 'Vale of Atholl' containing his first draft and a variety of other items and correspondence. I'll bring it along on the 20th.

Hi guys,
I am waiting for final confirmation from Ian Scott regarding the NLS visit but should find out next week for sure. He needs to make sure that other staff members are available on the day. I will post ASAP.

Re: NLS Visit 2016 CANCELLED
Ian Scott has now been back In touch regarding the NLS visit. I am afraid it can't go ahead on 20th August due to lack of time to organise as well as staff being on holiday. We can organise another date for October or November. It's probably best to do this as soon as possible to allow Ian plenty of time sort things out. Looking ahead on my calendar the only free Saturday's I have are November 12th and 19th. Can everyone confirm their availability for these dates?

Well, that's a shame.
Unfortunately I've also got holidays planned mid November.

Re: NLS Visit 2016?
Was really looking forward to 20th August. If it was more suitable for everyone we could try to set up a midweek visit to NLS, for me a Monday or Thursday evening is best as working the other nights. Let me know your thoughts.
