John Hope and the Foot-Ball Club of 1824

I recently had a paper published (with John Hutchinson) in the academic journal Soccer & Society, about John Hope and the Foot-Ball Club he founded in Edinburgh in 1824.

These things are normally hidden behind a paywall, but it is currently available for free: http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10. ... 16.1276244. There are also a few other interesting articles down the right hand side, also currently with free access.

Great read Andy. Fantastic piece of original research that turns a few fitba "facts" on their heads!
