VP Club?

Post by Insertnamehere » Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:26 pm

I was reading an article about Andrew Weir the ex Motherwell player and part of it said that the "VP club arranged a testimonial for him in 1992"

Can anyone confirm what the VP stands for? Vice Presidents Club obviously springs to mind but............

Thanks
Robert

Ah, just wondered. A title might have given a clue. In the absence of any other then Vice Presidents club sounds the most likely. Presumably some group affording corporate hospitality at Fir Park.

The only other option is a society of cheap sherry drinkers!

I'm pretty sure Motherwell's history mentions the Vice Presidents club organising testimonial years for players. Not sure which players specifically
