Scotland XI matches in 1945 and 1953

I'm trying to find details of a couple of Scotland XI matches:

18 November 1945, Scotland played the Combined Services in Hamburg. What was the score?

In 1952/53, around Jan/Feb, Scotland played the British Army at Hampden, and I think won 2-1. What was the exact date?

Did they play twice in 24 hours? There was a game in Celle, close to Hanover, on Saturday November 17th 1945 which Scotland won 4-2. Jimmy Delaney of Celtic and Tommy Walker of Hearts both scored twice with Dennis Westcott (Wolves but playing for Man City at the time) and Peter McKennan (Partick Thistle) scoring for the Combined Services. It was 3-0 at half-time.

Thanks for the responses, very helpful.

I may have written the date down wrongly - the reason I found out about the game was seeing a programme advertised.

Four years later... I've looked at this again.

There were, in fact, two matches over the weekend:

Saturday 17 November 1945
Combined Services 2 (Westcott, McKennan), Scotland XI 4 (Delaney 2, Walker 2)
Highbury Stadium, Celle
Scotland: R Brown; McPhie, McGowan; Campbell, Husband, Cox; Smith, Baird, Delaney, Garth, Walker.

Sunday 18 November 1945
Combined Services 1 (Westcott), Scotland XI 1 (Garth)
Bahrenfeld Stadium, Hamburg, 40,000
Scotland: R Brown; McPhie, McGowan; Campbell, Husband, McDonald; Smith, Baird, Delaney, Garth, Walker.

By the way, the answer to my other query was:

Monday 2 March 1953
Scotland 2 (Johnstone, Davidson pen.), British Army 1 (Hooper)
Hampden Park, 10,000
Scotland: Cowan; Young, Haddock; McColl, Davidson, Cowie; Buchanan, Johnstone, Patterson, Bonthrone, Ring.

A couple of interesting matches played in Germany. Do you have the Combined Services line-ups as well?

Unfortunately not - they are not given in the Scottish press. The only snippet is that there were five changes in the Services eleven from Saturday to Sunday.

A friend who has the programme for the Sunday match tells me that the teamlines were left blank for spectators to fill in, and his copy has only five names written in! But it's a start: Goalkeeper: Swindon (presumably Swindin); Right back: Hughes; Left half :Pacwel(?); Outside right: Robinson; Centre forward: Westcott.
