Jimmy Smillie 1950's

Can anybody confirm the Jimmy Smillie who joined Third Lanark from Duntocher in 1951-52, was the same Jimmy Smillie who played for Dumbarton & Stenhousemuir in 1958-59. I think he ma have been reinstated junior between 1955-58.

Has anyone received version 4 of John Litster's disk yet? That might clear it up. Version 3 has two separate players - one a right-winger, the other a left-winger - but as you say this could have been a reversion to junior ranks then a return to senior.

The Thirds' Smillie left Cathkin circa 1955 but rather than the juniors he apparently went to Headington United - now, of course, Oxford United, and then a Southern league club.

The James Smillie who played for Stenhousemuir was born 30/3/1933 in Cumbernauld and lived in Condorrat.
