I received this email recently and wondered if anyone could help. I suspect Sanyford (or poss Sandyford) Thistle were a juvenile club but would be grateful for any input:

The jubilee history of the Lanarkshire Juvenile FA, published in 1950, lists Sandyford Thistle as winners of the LJFA Cup in 1913-14 and 1915-16.

I'm not sure exactly where they came from - best suggestion I can offer is that there is a Sandyford Farm near to Newhouse, just off the M8, and that area used to be riddled with coal mines and communities that have now disappeared.
