Has any Scottish League championship ever been clinched / won at Berwick?
We (Livingston) now have a chance of doing it on Tuesday.

Well yes... our championship!! We beat Arbroath at the end of 2006-07 to lift the Third Division. Also remember being absolutely gutted the year we narrowly missed out on the title to Queen's Park in 1999-00 but I couldn't tell you if we played QP at the end or not, though I think we might have... Btw - I hope we stuff you

And I hope we stuff you too - either of next week's games will do.

They did indeed, winning 2-0 there on Apr 27th. Three days later Dundee United clinched the other promotion spot also by beating Berwick Rangers, but this was by 1-0 and at Tannadice.prorege wrote:I think St Johnstone clinched the title at Berwick in 1959/60. I would need to check some old Sporting Posts to confirm but I'm virtually certain they did.
Last game between QP and Berwick in 1999/2000 was at Hampden on 25th March (Berwick won 1-0), there were still six games remaining after that.HibeeJibee wrote:Well yes... our championship!! We contrived to lose our next match at Forfar 4-0 and then went on a five game winning run to clinch the title, although with about 25 minutes left on the final Saturday Berwick were on course for the title as they were winning and we were losing at Cowdenbeath. A wee goal from Danny Ferry and a brace from Frankie Carroll saw us over the line thankfully
