I came across Arthurlie playing Abercorn in an inter county game, 23rd March 1905, Arthurlie were in the old 2nd division at the time and ive not seen anything related to this before. They hand friendlies the following and previous weeks but this said inter county, would it just be a friendly or is there another explanation?
Thanks

This will be the Inter-county league, short lived attempt at a supplementary league for the teams not involved in the 'bigger' supplementary leagues.

I'd check the season [and the start of the next] for any un-explained matches against Abercorn, Albion Rovers, Ayr & Vale of Leven, as they might have been Inter-County matches without the publicity!
I found this with several FFC matches, but when I matched them up with the final [Falkirk & District, Etc] League Table it all became clearer.
