Liverpool signed David Wilson from East Bontas in 1899. He only played 2 games before he left in 1900. Maybe to Airdrie.
Can somebody please help me with information about him?

I'm not sure if it's the same man but I have a David Wilson who played for Airdrie (I don't have any dates for his time there) then Liverpool before making one appearance for Hamilton Academicals in 1906/7. He then went on to Albion Rovers

Hello,

Can anyone confirm if East Bontas is, was, a football club? I do not get any hits searching BNA with the name. Suspect miss-spelling.

Could be EAST BENHAR.
This was one of many small colliery settlements near to Fauldhouse. East Benhar Heatherbell were a noted junior club of the time while West Benhar were a highly successfully senior club in the 1880s.
Both of these villages have long since disappeared but would have been close enough to Airdrie to tie in with some link there.
