40 man World Cup Squads

In the seventies, and possibly later, Scotland initially named a provisional 40 man squad a few months ahead of the finals, which was then whittled down to the 22 that would travel. Anyone know where can I find the player lists for these 40 man squads?

I've only managed to find 39 players - the squad included 23 'Anglos', so the missing man was with a Scottish club.
Possibilities...Willie Pettigrew, Davie Cooper, Ronnie Glavin, Tommy Burns, Paul Sturrock, Des Bremner, Colin Jackson, Bobby Russell, Alex Macdonald, Gordon Smith (?)
