Hello,

Can anyone help with more information about a player "Clementson" of Kelty Brunside Rovers?

Tuesday, November 15 – 1949
Clementson, Kelty Burnside Rovers’ centre, has signed for Liverpool. He is 19. This is his second season with the Rovers.

I have a note of a player Cleminson playing for various Fife Junior clubs in the 1950s and early 60s. Kelty Burnside Rovers were a prominent Fife Juvenile club.

Possibly the same player. Neither Clemison nor Clementson are common names in Fife and the newspapers frequently spelt names wrongly.

There's an an 'auld worthy' who played Juvenile and Junior football in Fife around that time who I often see at Junior matches - I'll ask him the next time I bump into him if the name rings any bells.

Hi,

Another Liverpool historian has emailed me and says his name is: Peter Kenneth Clemenson.

Kelty Burnside Rovers were a Secondary Juvenile side during the late forties and early fifties. They were previously known as Kelty Rangers secondary juveniles. I'll check to see if I have anything that mentions Clemenson when I get home.

Only thing I could find was that his previous club to Kelty Burnside rovers was Wellwood Boys Club who played in an under age league
