Does anyone have career information with dates for Willie Vandermotten? He seems to have turned out for quite a number of clubs in either one or two occasions in the 40s & 50s.

According to Hugman's Footballers site:

Full name William Vandermotten
Born Tuesday, 26 August 1930
Glasgow, Scotland
Died 30 June, 1979
Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England
Position Inside Forward

Just a quick flip through the BNA (utterly inexhaustive) shows him at Third Lanark, Cowdenbeath, Bradford Park Avenue, Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, Renfrew Juniors, Stenhousemuir, Stirling Albion & Arbroath in the early-to-mid 50s

Cheers,

Thank you very much for that both of you. Vandermotten made a single appearance for 3rd Lanark, a 1-0 defeat to Celtic in the Merchants Charity Cup on 3rd May 1950

Here's a bit I wrote in Cowdenbeath programme some time back

Willie Vandermotten did play for Cowden in the 1950s. I believe he was of Dutch descent but as far as I am aware he came from the Gorbals in Glasgow! Willie for a time was a tram driver for Glasgow Corporation Transport. He was in the Air Training Corps before he joined Third Lanark and was serving in the RAF so inevitably became known as the ‘Flying Dutchman’. He was an ATC internationalist and his ATC side reached the semi final of the Scottish Amateur Cup. A lanky, elusive type of player, ‘Vandy’ came to us from Third Lanark in October 1952 but only made 3 appearances before moving south to play with Bradford Park Avenue. He wasn’t a success there either so went to the juniors.

He joined Kirkintilloch Rob Roy and a year later moved to Renfrew Juniors. At Renfrew, he made a big impact and was capped a couple of times for Scotland at junior level. He was soon back as a senior with Stirling Albion and then played with Stenhousemuir, Albion Rovers and Arbroath in fairly quick succession. Next he played in the Highland League with Keith and Lossiemouth. Then he took up a coaching role at the Glasgow club Harland Juveniles. He later coached St Anthonys, the Glasgow junior outfit, before moving down south to live in Welwyn Garden City. He was still shy of his 50th birthday when he died in 1979 in Hatfield.
