Five goals in six minutes

Post by honestman » Wed Dec 20, 2017 2:15 pm

Was checking the Arbroath Herald for Junior results and came across the report from the Scottish 2nd Division game between Stenhousemuir and Arbroath which stated that Stenhousemuir scored 5 goals in 6 minutes (35th - 40th minute). This must surely be some kind of record in Scottish football at least.

Given 36-0 means an average of a goal every 2.5 minutes there's a fair chance there must have been some periods of similar scoring bursts in a certain obvious fixture, no?
