Sam Hastings started out at Nithsdale Wanderers and had a long Senior career from the late 1950’s to the early 1970’s playing for Hamilton Academical, Clyde, Alloa and Queen of the South.
I am trying to find the forename of “Hastings (Nithsdale Wanderers)” who played in a SJFA XI in 1963. The Nithsdale Wanderers connection and the date suggests that he could be Sam Hastings’ brother.
Can anyone help please?

The Hastings that I have in Ayrshire Juniors from around that time are;
Alex Hastings (ex Stranraer Partick), 1961-64 Ardeer Thistle, 66/7 Darvel
John (Ian) Hastings, Whitletts Vics 1964-70, later Auchinleck Talbot.
Nothing to suggest either played for Nithsdale Wanderers.

Thanks Prorege.
The "Hastings (Nithsdale Wanderers)" was I am sure on an amateur form at the time in 1963. Interestingly, Nithsdale Wanderers went defunct in 1964 and that is the year that John (Ian) Hastings signed for Whitletts Victoria. That sounds like a lead to follow up. Thank you,
