During my research on football in Springburn, I came across an article in an August 1874 edition of the Scotsman. It was a review of a book just published by Charles W. Alcock, honorary secretary of the F. A., called "Football: Our Winter Game". The subject matter is tracing the history, the origins and the rules of the game going all the way back to Greek and Roman times.
Has anyone come across this book and if so are any copies available in National Libraries?
