Douglas Dick
He played 1 game for Morton and 1 for Third Lanark in 1893/94. Can somebody please help with dates? It must have been before his Liverpool debut 28th October.

Re: Douglas Dick
I think that there may have been a second match for Morton.
Morton 4 Cowlairs 2 at Cappielow on 30 September 1893 Scottish League – Second Division (Greenock Telegraph 2 October 1893)
Douglas Dick was playing for Morton and “got to grips” with John McPherson of Cowlairs 15 minutes into the second half. Both players walked off the field of their own accord without being ordered to do so. McPherson later said he walked off to save the referee the trouble of ordering him off! Dick thought that McPherson had been ordered off and just followed him thinking that his departure was inevitable! The prompt action by the players probably saved them a suspension as when the case came before the disciplinary committee they found that no blows were exchanged, considered it a minor issue and simply censured the players.

Re: Douglas Dick
Very interesting!!
He signed for Liverpool 13th October. 1 day before he played for Third Lanark.
In 1892/93 he played for Rangers 18th and 25th March. His game in Scottish Cup for Morton must have been earlier in that season.

Re: Douglas Dick
He was selected to play (I don't have actual line-up) for Morton in
Scottish Cup, 2nd Preliminary Round, 24 Sept, Ayr Parkhouse 2-0 Morton.
