Jock McNab in WW1

Post by ScottishFA » Wed Sep 18, 2019 7:41 pm

John 'Jock' McNab (Scotland cap 1923) was a late starter in professional football because of the First World War. He was already 25 when he joined Liverpool from Bellshill Athletic in 1919.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about his war service, apparently in the Army? And whether he played football before the conflict - born in 1894 he would have been 20 when war broke out.

A very interesting question!!
We (Liverpool FC Official Archives) only knows that he was recommanded by an ex LFC player in October 1919.
