Tribute To Jinky

BBC 1 Scotland will be showing 'Lord Of The Wing' the Jimmy Johnstone tribute film on Friday 17th March at 9pm. Viewers outside Scotland can access this on Sky on channel 971. Remember that's 971, not 941 as it used to be.

Aye, don't go to the old channel number on Sky mate. All it shows now are Under-21 games. At least I think that's what 18PLUSXXX means

Doesn't really matter if you watch 971 or 941 on a Saturday, you're bound to see a total fud and a pair of big diddies anyway.

Bit unfair on Pat Nevin, Davie, who generally talks a lot of sense and has been known to talk up Killie which moves him several rungs up the credibility ladder! Mind you he wasn't on on Saturday, although there was a wee balding guy on 941 who might have been Pat doing a bit of moonlighting! Christopher Brookmyre is another (occasional)interesting and amusing contributor (to 971 that is!).

The real problem Jimmy, is the format. They're trying to run a magazine type programme at the same time as the results are coming through. I just don't think it works. There is definitely a place in the schedules for a general fitba programme but not when it starts with 15-20 minutes to go on a Saturday afternoon.

Of course the time is down to the BBC losing the SPL TV rights.
