BBC & the licence fee

Postby Scottish » Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:01 pm

This blocking of broadcasts by the BBC is absurd. I am a licence payer yet I couldn't listen to the live radio broadcast of the Germany-Argentina match because I'm abroad at the moment.

This is a farce. Tomorrow when England play Portugal half the bars in Spain will be showing the game live on BBC1 - and the Beeb know it.

Surely in this day and age a licence fee payer should be able to enter his/her licence number and access the full range of the corporation's online services?

Non-UK IP numbers being blocked by British websites also means that my wife won't be able to watch the live Channel 4 broadcasts of 'Big Brother.' Ah, well, every cloud and that...
