Women's World Cup

Post by Snuff » Thu Jul 02, 2015 7:55 am

You had to feel sorry for England's women, to go out at the semi-final stage, to a 92nd minute own goal, was taking cruelty to ridiculous levels.

However, maybe if the FA hadn't spat the dummy and thrown the toys out of the pram after that unawarded Frank Lampard "goal" against Germany back in 2010, nothing would have been done about shots which go over the line, then spin back out and play continues.

Add in the third goal in the 1966 Men's World Cup Final and the way the game in Edmonton finished was a definite case of the biters being bitten back.

As I said, sympathy for the England girls, as for the thoroughly obnoxious Jonathan Pearce and the Engerlund cheer-leaders. Yeehaw!!!
