Can anyone provide me with a short synopsis of this book? It may be useful to my research, but it may not be. Is it a book on Jock Stein or is it a general writing on the Football Manager and the role?
Thanks

You won't find anything about Jock Stein in this book!
It is a novel - about a Scottish manager who takes charge of fourth division Barford Albion. He ends up having an affair with the chairman's niece, revealing a rather more salacious side to Bob Crampsey than you might have expected.

That's great - That'll save me bothering the document delivery people at the Library again. Thanks

Salacious? If Bob was going to do "salacious" then the manager would have had an affair with the chaiman`s nephew.
