Sam Clemie was in goal. Harry 'Peerie' Cunningham took both penalties.

Alex Herd, later of Manchester City and father of David of Arsenal, Man Utd and Scotland amongst others. Famously, father and son played in the same Stockport County side.

16.8.2003 Queen’s Park 5 Elgin C 3 – apparently only time in Scottish Lge five pens awarded – Stevie Reilly scored three pens for QP

According to my records there were only the three penalties in this match, all scored by Stevie Reilly as you say.

The other four goals were all scored from open play (two by Whelan for Queen's, McCormick and Bone for Elgin), and I can't see any missed penalties.

Incidentally, all three penalties were given away by ex-Queen's Park players, two by John Gallagher (who got a booking each time and was sent off) and the other by Jim White.

Remember being at a Airdrie v Dumbarton game at Broomfield, 3-0 Airdrie, three penalties scored 2 and knocked in the rebound with the other, Possibly Dave Lapsley the scorer of all 3, sure they all came in the first half, always remember us have strong claims in second half for a least another three, ref's cant give that many in one game all the same, can they !!!!!!!

Would this be the John Lapsley, who played for Airdrie between 1973 and 1980? Does anyone have a date for a 3-0 scoreline between those dates?

October 4th 1975 though Rothmans gives Paul Jonquin with two of the penalties and Billy Wilson the third. John Lapsley scored just one league goal that season, in the final match in a 2-1 defeat at Hamilton.

Knew PJ was a regular penalty taker around this time, but still have a feeling about Lapsley for some reason, all my programmes are down the old dears so will check tomorrow, am probably wrong again lol

Just checked a scrapbook i have in the house, hold my hand up , Jonquin 1min (rebound from penalty), Jonquin 12 mins (penalty), then Wilson 53 mins (penalty), Airdrie were on great form that day, hit the woodwork twice and had countless shots that went narrowly past. Went on to lift the ill fated Spring Cup that season 4-2 after extra time, in goals that night for Bankies was former Airdrie "great" Roddie McKenzie.

Jonquin scored over forty goals in his career - quite a number for a full-back. IIRC he took a lot of penalties.

Forrest - According to page 14 of the Glasgow Herald of 27 February, 1928: "Peerie" Cunningham was the Kilmarnock penalty-taker, Sam Clemie was in goal for Killie. Surprised at David missing that one.
