Brown of Lochore/Crosshill

Post by Scottish » Wed Nov 26, 2014 6:23 pm

From Orient historian Neil Kaufman:

In a story dated 2 February 1921 it stated that BROWN of Lochore –Croswell United has gone on trial with Clapton Orient for one month,. the centre forward is fast with a hard shot.

I’m wondering if any of your readers can supply any more on the player or the club.

Fife Junior team was called Lochore & Crosshill United. Played in seasons 1919/20 to 1922/3
John Aitkens book Fields of Fife has them playing at Bon Accord park Glencraig and then Central Park Lochore. Book also states they folded 1924. I've got them playing one game 1922/3 season SC v St Monans (A) L 1-11, nothing 1923/4
